Does Self Storage India store household goods and furniture or personal goods?
Our Warehouse is designed to store personal household effects as well as business inventory, including documents. You can store belongings of your household and office, such a photographs, furniture, documents, art work, motorcycles, bicycles, seasonal clothing, musical instruments and much more. We strictly do not allow flammable items (such as LPG gas cylinders) and perishable goods in our premises.
What is the process of renting storage space with Self Storage India?.
Upon the successful reservation of the storage unit, lessees are required to fulfill the following formalities in person: execution of the lease agreement, payment of the initial installment, submission of two recent color photographs, and provision of a valid identification document. Acceptable forms of identification include Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID, or Passport accompanied by a visa copy. The initial installment encompasses the first month's rent inclusive of GST (referred to as Total Rent) and a Security Deposit, calculated at three times the Total Rent. Please note that taxes are applicable in accordance with prevailing legal standards. As of the current period, GST is levied at a rate of 18%.
Do you offer insurance on the client’s goods?
Self Storage India also provides complimentary insurance when you rent private rooms. Your stock is insured against fire risk, RSMD risk, earthquakes, and burglary
What is the documentation process for signing the lease agreement?
Two current coloured photographs and one ID proof (Passport, Driving License, Voter ID or Aadhar card). Photo ID and storage key is required to access facility at all times.
When will I receive the security deposit refund?
The processing time for security refund ranges within 14 business days, subject to the conditions of the merchant account.
Does Self Storage India provides/ helps with packing, moving and transportations of goods?
We can facilitate the packing and moving process through our network of vendors. The cost is dependant on the volume of goods and distance from the location of our chosen facility.
What safety features do you have in your facility?
CCTV cameras, controlled access, 24X7 guards and monitoring, pest control, goods housed on plastic pallets, safe locations in the heart of business hubs.
What are the rent details of the storage facility?
The monthly rental charges for Storage Facility are determined based on individual requirements. Prices may vary depending on the inventory list and the items to be stored on the premises.
What is the process to access my room during storage period?
Only authorized personnel are allowed to enter our self storage warehouse. Entry will be prohibited without valid photo identification and key. Acceptable picture ID proofs are Aadhaar, passport etc.
Why security deposit has been charged when my goods is with Self Storage India?
A security deposit is necessary to ensure the safety of stored goods. In the event of missed payments, we may use the security deposit to prevent the relocation of items to a shared storage space and to facilitate lease termination through auction. The security deposit will be refunded upon lease termination or when vacating the storage unit.
What are the sizes of your private storage rooms and what’s the maximum size of the room in your facility?
All private rooms have minimum access of 5 ft. Our room sizes range from 25 sq. ft. to 300 sq. ft. (Multiple rooms can be leased in a row for larger requirements).
Does your costing include moving and packing?
No, we do not cover the cost of packing and moving.
What is the payment process?
We offer various online payment process, including UPI platforms like PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, as well as credit/debit cards, net banking, and other online payment methods.
When can I visit your warehouse?
Our sites are open and accessible 24X7, 365 days a year for your convenience.
Could I use my own lock and key?
You will have one key to your storage space that can be accessed by you or your nominee (designated personnel), as per your convenience.
I am coming to India within 3-4 days along with my stuff, how will you process it?
Once you reserve a storage unit (first installation and signed lease agreement), we will be happy to grant access to your dedicated room.
Who are the clients of Self Storage India?
Art galleries, private collectors of antiquities, event management firms, publishers, business owners & shopkeepers, local residents, expatriates, tourists and individuals like you.
Does Self Storage India increase the rent after one year?
Yes, we increase the rent by 15% every 11 months.
Are there any rules inside the warehouse?
Eating and drinking are not allowed at any time on our premises.
What happens if the room key is misplaced or lost?
If the key is lost or missing, we will need to break the lock . The client is responsible for paying the charges of Rs.1000 plus GST.
How do I end (or terminate) my contract (or lease agreement)?
You can terminate the lease by giving us 1 (One) month's advance written notice, for any reason whatsoever.
What is the due date for rent?
For individual leases, payment shall be made in advance on or before the 6th day of every calendar month. For corporate leases, payment shall be made in advance on or before the 21st day of every calendar month.
Are there any additional charges for late rent payments?
Failure to pay the Total Rent shall incur late charges/penalty of Rs 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) plus GST per week. These charges shall be payable by the Lessee based on the number of weeks of delay. Additionally, an extra fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) plus GST will be charged per visit if the Lessor arranges for the collection of overdue payments from the Lessee.
